Covid procedures put in place to bring person ashore
Douglas Coastguard was called out yesterday to help an injured crew member on a yacht from Scotland.
The vessel was passing by the Island when the crew sent out the message for help.
The injured person had to be brought ashore for treatment, where an ambulance crew was waiting.
The Marine Operations Centre watched over the incident, to ensure everyone involved followed strict Covid-19 procedures.
All equipment used had to be fully cleaned afterwards.
