Health body responded to 'isolated security incident' over weekend
Manx Care says a 'code red' scenario at Noble's Hospital over the weekend was not caused by a shortage of staff.
In Tynwald this week Onchan MHK Julie Edge claimed it was 'almost' at that status due to low levels of personnel adding there is 'too much pressure' on frontline services.

In response Manx Care says the 'code red' was related to an isolated security incident meaning a patient or service user was displaying aggressive or threatening behaviour towards staff, other members of the public or posing a threat to themselves.
The health body adds the situation was 'carefully managed by staff who are fully trained to deal with such situations' and was resolved adding: 'This was not related to staffing levels within Nobles’s Hospital and was an isolated incident therefore there are no implications in the short/long term.'
