Calls on DEFA to install signage on North Beach
A Ramsey commissioner has called for government to do more to raise awareness about a ‘sewer slick’.
North Beach has been ranked as having ‘good’ bathing status following two seasons of water testing.
Beaches have to meet monthly targets which are set by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture and measured against European Union standards.
But Wilf Young told Manx Radio it’s not something he’ll be ‘putting his name’ to because a nearby sewer empties 24-hours a day:
