Authority gauging public opinion on matter
Patrick Commissioners have called a public meeting to discuss the proposed plans for a new sewage treatment plant at Glenfaba House.
It will be held this coming Thursday (23rd) in Glen Maye Chapel and Community Centre at 7.30pm.
Manx Utilities has lodged a planning application to build a treatment works for Peel, which it's hoped will address the problem of raw sewage being discharged into Peel Bay.
Following the demolition of Glenfaba House, the authority is now requesting permission to build on the site at the Raggatt in Patrick, adjacent to the river Neb.
Clerk Ian Maule says the Commissioners feel it's important to gauge public opinion in the area before publishing their views.
