
Castletown Commissioners is saying no to the latest planning application for Callows Yard.
At a meeting held in public last night the board voted seven against, two for.
Proposals include the development of a two storey commercial building, conversion of a bar into apartments and the creation of a town house.
On Tuesday around 100 local residents and business owners attended a requisition meeting to voice their opposition.
But Chairman of Castletown Commissioners Kevin Weir says this latest application is not a million miles away from being right. He says that more talks are needed:
