53-year-old further remanded at IoM Prison
Committal proceedings in the case against a Liverpool man accused of manslaughter have been delayed.
John Meadows, of Verney Crescent, appeared at Douglas Courthouse via video link from the Isle of Man Prison.
The 53-year-old has been accused of causing the death of his partner, 57-year-old Jillian Hughes, on Douglas Promenade on 29 March.
Committal – where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery – is now expected to take place on 25 July; there was no application for bail and he was further remanded.
UPDATE: Mr Meadows is now expected to be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery on 2 July.
