Jason Moorhouse has welcomed government's response to the Economic Policy Review Committee
The chair of a Tynwald committee that was blocked from taking evidence from the former airport director has welcomed government's recognition that the incident was 'regrettable'.
The Economic Policy Review Committee had attempted to speak to Gary Cobb before his departure last year, but his appearance was withdrawn last minute as the then-Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall was unavailable to appear alongside him.
At this month's sitting of Tynwald, the parliament supported a government amendment admitting the move was regrettable and calling for clearer rules and guidance for those attending committee evidence sessions.
Jason Moorhouse hopes this means the issue won't be repeated:
