Director of public health will also give evidence
A Tynwald committee looking at suicide will hear from the health minister and a senior official from his department today.
David Ashford and Director of Public Health Dr Henrietta Ewart are due to appear before the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee at 11.30am.
The committee is made up of its chairman, David Cretney MLC, and MHKs Julie Edge and Martyn Perkins.
They've previously heard evidence from John Kermode of psychology.im and the Samaritans; Cruse Bereavement Care; and Bill Henderson MLC, who worked as a psychiatric nurse before embarking upon his political career.
The committee has also taken written evidence.
The hearing, which is open to the public, will take place in the Legislative Council chamber, in Legislative Buildings on Bucks Road.
It can also be listened to live, or afterwards, via the Tynwald website.
