Lawrie Hooper weighs in on Standing Orders Committee recommendations
Improving the functions of government committees should be part of 'bigger conversations' according to a Ramsey MHK.
Concerns were raised by a number of Tynwald members after the Standing Orders Committee made multiple recommendations which would see MLCs retain seats on committees whilst elections are ongoing.
If re-elected, they would take back their seat a month after by default.
