Five competitors - including three debutants - set to be involved
There's a positive mood among members of the Isle of Man's athletics squad heading to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Five athletes will compete in the Scottish city between 27 July and 1 August.
Along with the more experienced figures of Ollie Lockley and David Mullarkey, there will also be three Manx debutants in athletics in the form of Christa Cain, Regan Corrin and Jack Kinrade.
Speaking ahead of their tip, Lockley and Corrin have been telling Manx Radio about their objectives for Glasgow and managing the scale of the occasion once it gets underway:
Corrin, Lockley and Mullarkey were among the initial four athletics competitors - along with Sarah Astin - announced on 14 May.
On 26 May Kinrade was added to the lineup.
Sarah Astin announced her withdrawal from the games due to injury and on 13 July it was then confirmed that Cain would come in to replace her in the Women's 5,000m event.
Corrin is expected to take on the Men's High Jump and, potentially, the Men's Long Jump event whilst Kinrade is down to take part in the Men's 800m class.
Both Lockley and Mullarkey are scheduled to contest the Men's 10,000m race with the latter also down for the Men's 5,000m showdown.
The Commonwealth Games will run from 23 July to 2 August.
