Residents want to retain natural land for play
A community effort is underway in suburban Douglas to protect a small area of natural land.
'Manor Woods' - behind Scooil Vallajeelt in Saddlestone - is used by local children as a place to play as well as a shortcut through the estates.
With the agreement of the landowners nearby residents are meeting at 1pm this Sunday (11 July) to tidy the area - with plans to maintain it in the long-term.
