
There's a new name on the block in Pulrose today (Sat 13).
The old Police House in the centre of the estate is being transformed into a community centre - and this afternoon at 2pm it will be officially named Manor Ark.
The property has been empty for several years and Douglas Council has offered it to the local Methodist church to use as a community house.
Pupils at nearby Manor Park school helped choose its new name - and although the centre won't open until the new year, a festive crafts session to celebrate the milestone will be held this afternoon at Pulrose Methodist Church.
Minister Reverend David Shirtliff says volunteers, Island businesses and local people are all helping renovate the Ark:
