Fines of more than £26K in total for 18 businesses
Fines totalling more than £26,700 have been handed down for tax offences to 18 businesses.
The penalties were issued by Magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The bulk of the penalties, over £26,000, related to 16 companies for failing to pay Income Tax instalment payments by the due date.
Two businesses that failed to comply with notices to submit accounts in support of a tax return were fined a total of £100.
