DoI to pay out over silt damages
Some berth owners will be given government compensation, after silt buildup in Peel Marina stopped some vessels mooring.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer says it 'will be costly' to reduce rates for those who own a berth, but it's something the Department 'must do'.
It follows news that a deposit of silt in the outer harbour will be dredged in the next month.
