Letters of opposition received
A number of residents have formally opposed the planned amalgamation of two primary school sites in Douglas.
The Department of Education and Children announced in June a proposal to move pupils and staff from St Thomas' school, on Finch Road, to a combined site at Scoill Vallajeelt in Saddlestone by September 2018.
It's hoped the move will stem overcrowding at the 19th century town centre school site.
But a Freedom of Information request to the Department has revealed that, so far, twenty individuals have signed letters protesting the move.
By contrast, the Department says it's received no formal letters of support.
