Bus restrictions 'embarrassing' in 2022, says Thomas
Concerns have been raised about what accessibility mobility scooter users will have when visiting the Island.
In April last year, Tynwald recommended the Department of Infrastructure look to adopt the UK code for the use of mobility scooters on low floor buses.
However, Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas says since then not much has been done for access to class two scooters.
He says recently a committee has been formed to look into it, but more needs to be done as soon as possible:
Manx Radio contacted the Department of Infrastructure for a response.
In a statement it confirmed the Bus Vannin Accessibility Steering Group was set up following the Tynwald motion in April 2021 and it's due to submit a report containing recommendations to the Minister.
