Onchan MHK thinks turning off work permit system could have significant consequences
Switching off the work permit system would come at the detriment to the Island's infrastructure and public services.
That's according to Rob Callister who believes the enterprise minister is wrong to think the system brings a 'perceived' barrier.
The government is expected to request Tynwald approval to suspend work permits for three years to entice more skilled workers to live and work here.
But Mr Callister isn't convinced:
