Concessions given to CRHS students
'Delicate negotiations' led to concessions for students caught up in an exam mix-up at Castle Rushen High School, according to the school's headteacher.
It was confirmed today (22 June) that exam results for an English Literature iGCSE paper won't make up part of their grade for the subject.
The exam board responsible has made allowances for the students, who had been given the wrong text to study for the drama element of the subject.
Marks in other components, which make up the other 75% of the overall grade, will now be converted into a ranking.
That ranking will then be compared to all other students entered for the iGCSE, and an equivalent mark awarded for the drama component.
Headteacher Keith Winstanley says talks with Cambridge International have been ongoing:

'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
