Magistrates wish 35-year-old well at rehab
A Douglas man has been handed a conditional discharge after being caught with less than a gram of cannabis.
Police recovered the drug, valued at £8, at Dean Anthony Whitehead’s home, on Heather Crescent, on 6 January.
At Douglas Courthouse the 35-year-old admitted possessing the Class B substance.
The prosecutor told the court the case had been brought due to Whitehead's ‘significant previous convictions’.
Representing himself Whitehead told the court he would shortly be undertaking a six-month drug rehabilitation placement in the United Kingdom.
Imposing the 12 month order Magistrates told him: “We do wish you well on this course.”
