Mrs Lovel appointed following Edmund Southworth's retirement
Manx National Heritage has appointed Connie Lovel as its new executive director.
She takes over from Edmund Southworth who retired after 12 years in the post.
Mrs Lovel is relocating to the Island to take up the position in August.
Her experience is in heritage and tourism and joins MNH directly from the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) after nearly seven years.
Before working for the NTS she was the chief executive of Mount Stuart Trust on the Isle of Bute and the managing director of the Falkland Islands Tourist Board before that.
The Trustees and Manx National Heritage team say they're looking 'forward to welcoming Connie to the Isle of Man and working with and supporting her in her new role'.
The Trustees have also recorded their thanks to Mr Southworth for "the significant contribution he has made to the organisation during his 12 year tenure and wish him well in his forthcoming retirement."
