Police in the Island are urging those planning New Year parties at home to consider their neighbours.
Officers say anti-social parties are becoming an increasing problem at weekends, with regular calls from residents annoyed or distressed by gatherings in nearby properties.
Police and environmental health officers can issue fines or confiscate hi-fi equipment if warnings are ignored and have powers to issue fixed on-the-spot penalties if a serious nuisance is being caused.
