Tour of £4.9 million investment
Construction industry leaders will today be shown around a new facility at Isle of Man College, designed to train the next generation of crafts men and women (11 Nov).
The Baillie Scott wing offers modern, hands-on training in five construction crafts - painting and decorating, plumbing, joinery, electrical installation and brickwork.
The wing is phase two of a £4.9 million investment at the college, and this afternoon Education and Children Minister Tim Crookall will show guests from the sector how the money has been spent.
Future engineers and motor mechanics are now being trained at a state-of-the-art centre near the college, in the transformed former Water Authority works in Glencrutchery Road.
