Bill will expand registration, inspection and monitoring of health and social care
The Department of Health and Social Care is seeking feedback on its new Regulation of Health and Social Care (ROHSC) Bill.
A six-week consultation has launched to offer insight into what service users and professionals make of the new legislation.
It will mean that anyone providing a health or social care service will be required to register with the DHSC Registration and Inspection Team and be inspected in the future.
Many services like Adult Day Care or Nurseries are already inspected, but this will expand the registration, inspection and monitoring programme to activities such as:
- a surgical procedure
- treatment of disease, disorder or injury
- non-surgical cosmetic procedures
You can find the consultation HERE.
