Contingency plans have been drawn-up to keep the Island moving if the bus drivers go on strike.
That confirmation from Leisure minister Graham Cregeen, who's told Tynwald he still hopes to reach a negotiated settlement with the drivers' union Unite that would avoid industrial action.
Drivers have rejected a second offer from the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure and have been told they must sign new contracts to keep their jobs.
The department says budget cuts mean it has to reduce the drivers' pay bill.
But Mr Cregeen would not be drawn on back-up plans for public transport should the drivers walk out:
