Moffatt makes call with no settlement agreed
Communication Workers' Union post office staff have so far shown restraint in their dispute over terms and conditions.
That's the view of former union boss on the Island Bernard Moffatt at the end of a two-day strike with no settlement yet agreed.
An enhanced offer has been made to the union by the post office board.
The CWU delegation led by Terry Pullinger will now consider this and possibly come back with counter proposals.
Talks will resume in the new year.
