Call for community responsibility with rubbish
Douglas Borough Council has drafted in volunteers from its other departments to help manage litter over the TT period.
Operating from 6am to 9.30pm, Waste Services will be working daily throughout the TT festival to keep on top of rubbish, as areas in Douglas accommodate a higher density of people.
With an additional 50 bins put along the promenade, Strand Street and at the Quarterbridge , Councillor Richard McNicholl of the Environmental Services Committee, is appealing for a collective effort over TT, to keep the Island clean.
