Marquee for Boneyard over colder months
Douglas Council is hoping to host a series of winter festivities, including Christmas markets, at the grounds of Noble's Park over the next five years.
The local authority is seeking planning permission to put up a marquee at an area known as the Boneyard, which is behind the Grandstand's TT paddock.
Switched On Events will supply the temporary structure which will act as an event space from this October through to January, every year until 2024.
The company says the number of events held throughout the winter is dependent on uptake, with the council also planning a 'Hop Tu Naa experience'.
In previous years, the winter markets have been held on Strand Street and in the former Shoprite building on Chester Street.
