Improvement works planned
Douglas Council has asked the government for permission to borrow more than £370,000 to spend on the borough cemetery.
The local authority has submitted a request to the Department of Infrastructure allowing it to take out the loans to pay for refurbishment work.
The council says it will use the cash to improve walls, driveways and railings at the site on Glencrutchery Road.
The department is expected to make a decision on Friday.
