LED replacements wanted
The Island’s largest local authority says it wants to borrow £1.5 million to update street lighting in the capital.
Douglas Council says it’s asked permission from the Department of Infrastructure to borrow the money to replace ageing lights with LED bulbs.
The department is due to consider the request on Wednesday, July 27.
Anybody wishing to make comments on the application can write to the DoI’s Local Government Unit at the Sea Terminal in Douglas by Tuesday, July 26.
