Successful applicant will contribute to meetings and have vote
Douglas Council wants to ensure its tenants have a seat at the table when decisions are made on housing.
The local authority is advertising a vacancy on its housing committee for an independent member to air the views and concerns of those living in public sector properties.
They'll be able to cast a vote, contribute at meetings over a two year period and have a say on issues such as capital schemes, and rent increases.
Chair of the housing committee, Councillor Claire Wells, is keen to see interested tenants come forward and take part.
