Belief that trams could have been continued
A Douglas councillor who voted against a rate freeze in the town says the ceasing of the horse tram service was a major factor in his decision.
On Wednesday, the corporation announced the rates will remain unchanged in the next financial year at 402 pence in the pound.
Stephen Pitts was the only one who didn't support the move - arguing the horse tram service could have been continued.
He says the ratepayers fund all services in the borough:
