Charges have faced criticism since their announcement
The chairman of Douglas Borough Council's Regeneration and Community Committee says he's hopeful the decision to charge Police officers £1 a day to park on land at Nobles Park, adjacent to the Police station, can be reversed.
Councillor Andrew Bentley was one of two members of the committee to vote against the plan. The other being Councillor Natalie Byron.
The introduction of the £1 charge has come under fire from the Police Federation, and from former Chief Constable, Gary Roberts, who called the move sad.
