A Douglas councillor says government needs to conduct a 'proper traffic impact study' around Noble's Park if it wants to continue investing in motor-sport events.
Ian Clague MBE says residents in the area generally accept the disruption caused by the TT and Festival of Motorcycling, but if new changes are planned he wants traffic management to become a priority.
The Department for Enterprise has recently proposed a raft of changes to the Grandstand and paddock area, including a new vehicle access point off of St Ninian's Road.
The Victoria Ward Councillor argues the volume of and size of vehicles is increasing at busy event times, and wants the DfE to prove it's investigated several ways of mitigating congestion.
Mr Clague explained his concerns to Local Democracy Reporter Ewan Gawne.
