Courthouse home for post office - until spring
The company appointed to run Ramsey's post office will continue to operate from the town's Courthouse building until next spring.
Mannin Retail is due to take over next month, after winning the contract from Isle of Man Post Office.
The company is planning major building work at its Spar store so the Parliament Street outlet can accommodate both its existing shop and serve the extra customers a sub-post office will bring.
Mannin Retail was chosen to run the Ramsey and Douglas offices last November, but lost the Ramsey contract when Post Office bosses entered talks with a local Cooperative group, after a series of protests.
When the deal collapsed, Mannin Retail once again put in a bid.
