Treasury Minister says unemployment figures show approach is working
The Island's latest unemployment figures are proof government support schemes have stabilised the economy.
That's according to Treasury Minister Alf Cannan after almost 4,000 applications were received for MERA and the business support schemes.
Figures published by the Isle of Man Government this week show 756 people are currently out of work.
Mr Cannan admits it's difficult to find a solution that works for everyone:

'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
