
A cowboy builder has been given a suspended sentence after charging over £4000 for work he didn't do.
Crosswell Barton was also fined £500, ordered to pay more than £2600 in costs and £4500 in compensation after pleading guilty do deception
Mr Barton worked under the name "Simply Roofing" and claimed he completed work worth £4500, but an independent expert suggested the work was substandard.
