Officer says incident devastated lives
A crash which claimed the life of a teenager has been described by a senior police officer as the worst he’d encountered in his 25 year career.
Inspector Derek Flint was the senior investigating officer in the case of 18 year old Brandon Gowland of Onchan.
He was yesterday (Friday) jailed for three years and nine months for causing the death by dangerous driving of 17 year-old Brad Campbell.
Mr Campbell died when the Renault Clio in which he was a passenger crashed at high speed in Foxdale last August.
Gowland has also been disqualified from driving for seven years.
Inspector Flint says has devastated the families of all those involved.
