Police give update after incident at Brandywell delays TT schedule
A single motorcyclist came off at Brandywell, shutting the route off to traffic in the hours before the scheduled closure.
Officers say work had to take place before the road could be handed back to the Clerk of the Course, leading to a one-hour delay to today's proceedings.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says crashing and damaging infrastructure, spilling oil on the course or entering closed roads all have significant impacts on the running of racing and on the emergency and partner services who respond to incidents.
They're urging motorists and bikers to 'make sensible choices that help keep the event running safely and smoothly'.
