Bosses at Isle of Man Creamery say they'll explore every avenue to reduce costs and improve returns.
That from Managing Director Findlay Macleod, who yesterday announced ten redundancies at the Tromode plant, half of them on voluntary terms.
Rising farm costs and a long-term fall in milk production by Manx dairy farmers triggered a wide-ranging review of the Creamery operation.
Over the past year, the workforce has been reduced by around 15 per cent.
Mr Macleod says the lower intake of milk has had a direct impact on the business and a 'significant' increase in costs.
