Appeal for eco-friendly replacement
The education minister insists the new Castle Rushen High School will have to be value for money, but that renewable energy options are being explored.
More than 300 people have signed an online petition, started by the Isle of Man Student Climate Network, calling for the replacement facility to be eco-friendly.
The introduction to the appeal admits the cost will be more expensive in the short term, but will prove to be an economic investment in the future.
