Tynwald veteran chairs LegCo in Rodan's absence
The Legislative Council had an unusual leader today - but a familiar face.
With President of Tynwald Steve Rodan absent for the sitting, as LegCo took its second reading of the Domestic Abuse Bill, members took a vote on who would be acting president.
In the final month of his tenure, David Cretney MLC was voted into the chair for the first and last time.
Mr Cretney is a long-serving member of Tynwald, having been originally elected into the House of Keys in 1985.
