Call for greater social responsibility from government
The Island's longest serving politician currently in office is against changes to the way the Manx government deals with medical prescriptions.
A public consultation has recently ended on plans which, if given the go-ahead, could see a hike in the price per item to £5, and the scrapping of a number of free prescriptions.
In a review of the past year since the election on his Facebook page, MLC David Cretney is calling for a more caring approach from the Council of Ministers.
He says the prescription proposals lack social responsibility:
