Call for greater social responsibility from government
The Island's longest serving politician currently in office is against changes to the way the Manx government deals with medical prescriptions.
A public consultation has recently ended on plans which, if given the go-ahead, could see a hike in the price per item to £5, and the scrapping of a number of free prescriptions.
In a review of the past year since the election on his Facebook page, MLC David Cretney is calling for a more caring approach from the Council of Ministers.
He says the prescription proposals lack social responsibility:

'Too early to tell' what caused fire
Firefighting foam may have killed fish in Silverburn River
Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying
'Knives and sharp implements' left outside charity shops
