Tourism and leisure brought much joy
On Thursday, four people will be elected to the Legislative Council.
Nine candidates are vying for the seats - two sitting MLCs and seven newcomers.
One person who won't feature is David Cretney, who's stepping down after more than three decades as a national politician, mostly as an MHK but latterly as an MLC.
He says his favourite aspects of the job were being involved with the tourism and leisure side of things:

Some pubs to stay open for early-hours England match
Tynwald to revisit rates bill after the election
Douglas Council to install temporary play area in Marine Gardens
