'Drying vessel' alight inside the building
Fire crews from Douglas were called out this morning to a fire at the Animal Waste Plant.
Upon arrival crews say they identified that one of the drying vessels was alight within the building.
Working closely with staff on the scene, officers say they formed a plan to extinguish the fire in a way that limited the likelihood of the machine being damaged further.
Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours and are currently carrying out a decontamination process.
