Five-hour blaze at Druidale
Crews from Kirk Michael and Ramsey have been tackling a gorse and heath fire in the north west of the Island.
Off road vehicles, hose reels and beaters were used to extinguish the blaze at Druidale, which took them up to five hours.
Measures were also put in place to prevent the fire from spreading further up the hillside.
Emergency services have warned anyone undertaking a controlled burn, to take the weather into consideration.
It happened on the same day the north of England experienced a huge fire at Saddleworth Moor.
