Auction of produce for charity this evening
An autumnal highlight in the rural west of the Island takes place today (Thurs 15th)
The 23rd Cronk y Voddy Ploughing Society Flower and Produce Show is at Ballakaighen Farm off the Staarvey Road.
Entries are being accepted between 9.30 and 11.30 this morning, with the Big Spud weigh in and event opening to the public at 3pm.
Traditional skills of lanket and suggane making are on display at 7 pm . . followed by an auction of the produce.
The event, organised by the Cronk y Voddy Ploughing Match Society is free to all - with proceeds going towards Bowel Cancer Isle of Man.
