Police say a section of Eyreton Road in Crosby will be closed until tomorrow morning.
It’s after a minor road traffic accident at around 4pm where a cyclist fell off his bike on an oil patch.
A car then ran over his bike.
Police say the cleanup operation is being hampered by the rain, forcing the closure between Bromet Grove and Bluebell Lane.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
