Douglas railway station has been the hub for crowds of visitors soaking up the 1940s atmosphere in Isle of Man Railways' third Island at War weekend.
The event features displays, demonstrations and authentic wartime food and entertainment - with the steam train whisking travellers south to enjoy an array of war-themed sights and sounds.
Highlights for passengers include a crashed Spitfire scene and a 1940s agricultural display.
Wartime teas and a VE party have been staged in Port Erin, where shopkeepers dressed in 1940s fashions.
Douglas station has been transformed into a second world war military outpost, with the Home Guard checking visitors' papers.
The nostalgia weekend continues on Sunday (17 August) and Home Guard Re enactment Society member Barry says it's great fun:
