
The bid to save Crown post offices in Douglas and Ramsey is an Island-wide issue, according to the chairman of Ramsey commissioners.
Captain Nigel Malpass was responding to suggestions that only people in Ramsey were against the closure of the Crown offices.
A letter of intent has been sent to the Isle of Man Post Office and a working group is set to be formed this Friday.
The letter is from a group of local professionals who have joined together to run the Ramsey post office, and prevent its services being put into a local Spar store.
